Enfield Folland Park Kindergarten has been rated as Exceeding National Quality Standard under the National Quality Framework.

The National Quality Standard (NQS) sets a national benchmark for the quality of children’s education and care services across Australia.

Services are assessed against the NQS by the state or territory regulatory authority and receive a rating for each of the seven quality areas of the NQS, as well as an overall rating.

“An overall rating of Exceeding NQS is given to services that go above and beyond the requirements of the NQS in at least four of the seven quality areas, however as a team we received exceeding in all seven” Director Catherine Day of Enfield Folland Park Kindergarten said.

“Children’s active interest and engagement in the curriculum was highlighted throughout the assessment and rating report as being exceptional, for example it was noted that the ‘Educators consistently responded to children’s ideas and intentional teaching was embedded within the program to scaffold each child’s learning’.” Catherine Day said.

The National Quality Framework (NQF) for early childhood education and care was agreed by all Australian governments to get better educational and development outcomes for children using education and care services.

Implementation of the NQF is guided by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).

“The children can teach us because they welcome everything. The children can teach us how to be open to others and to their difference.  They can teach us to be open to understanding that we are so extra ordinary because we are unique, because we are different.”
